Employees need to be empowered and rewarded for innovation that allows the business to create additional value within the constraints of existing resources. Any transformation programme will ultimately require employees to change there behaviour and do things in a new way.
The employees value contribution must be rewarded in order to motivate them to increase their value contribution. Career path planning must be provided to show them how the business can become more valuable to them as employees. Value innovation requires that competencies, skills and abilities within the organization are continually aligned with the value positioning defined by management, the value expectation of customers and the value definition of the products and services.
Since the value expectation is continually evolving and changing continuous training and development will be required to align competencies with value expectations.
